Draymond Green has transformed, maintaining his fiery temperament while improving his ability to avoid fouls and on-court altercations. Earlier in the season, he faced multiple suspensions for unsportsmanlike behavior, culminating in an indefinite ban. This compelled him to reassess his approach and demeanor on the court. Despite the challenges, Green has made a successful comeback, contributing significantly to his team’s victories.

In a recent showdown against the Phoenix Suns, he showcased his assertive tenacity by effectively handling Jusuf Nurkic without the need for physical confrontations. Moreover, after making a game-winning play, he extended the battle beyond the court.

In his recent YouTube release, Green didn’t hold back, directing a “What an embarrassment” comment at Nurkic and questioning the Suns’ championship aspirations with him. Additionally, he went on to point fingers at Nurkic for hindering Nikola Jokic‘s growth in the league, putting Nurkic’s career into question. For those who weren’t aware, the Nuggets drafted Jokic while Nurkic was already on their roster. For a large part of his rookie season, Jokic played second fiddle to the Bosnian, until the Nuggets decided to ultimately trade Nurkic away, clearing the path for Jokic to be their primary Center. Bringing Kevin Durant into the mix, Green accused the two of questioning his character, condemning it as “cowardly.”

The on-court clash between Nurkic and Green escalated tensions. During one play, Nurkic taunted Green with a ‘too small’ celebration right after securing a hook shot over him. This prompted Green to retaliate with a quick shot over Nurkic. As the Warriors emerged victorious, the two players decided to keep their gloves on. Nurkic extended the beef, branding Green as unchanged and a potential hazard to the players and the league. However, while Kevin Durant has refrained from getting involved in the ongoing feud, his past remarks about Green needing help may be fueling Green’s recent comments.

Nurkic keeps the battle going

As the Warriors-Suns season series concluded, the off-court drama continues to captivate fans, leaving them yearning for an encore. Nurkic didn’t let the rivalry fade, extending the battle even after the post-game pressers. From the comfort of his space, he took to Twitter, humorously stating, “All good bad boy just don’t stay too long on the podcast, gonna be late for therapy session. 😂”

The tweet referenced Green’s previous indefinite suspension, which compelled him to seek professional counseling before making a comeback on the court. Despite being cleared to play, Green is obligated to continue these counseling sessions throughout the season.

True to his nature, Green took it upon himself to have the final say, tagging his assessment of the Bosnian center. He labeled Nurkic as a 300-pound softy, casting doubt on his skills.
