RedBird Capital has made some very successful investments recently. Springhill, a production company launched by LeBron and his business partner, Maverick Carter, comes under the firm’s name.
The HBO interview series, The Shop, is produced by Springhill and has featured James and multiple NBA superstars. Not only investment-wise, he has helped the company expand its brand philosophy.
“I always thought there were two legs to the stool, and they said: ‘Well actually, you’re missing a third. It’s culture, “ said Gerry Cardinale during a Sports and Investment Summit.
Crediting the NBA legend for their recent success, the company’s investment in Springhill came as a result of this business mantra. Uninterrupted, another popular interview series, also came into existence because of James’ wise words.
Their most recent investment came in the world of Formula 1 when actors Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Reynolds acquired 24% of Alpine Racing for roughly $200 million. Interestingly, RedBird Capital was part of the group, which included Reynolds and Jordan.
James once boosted the sales of a Cleveland apparel company
King James has four NBA titles to his name. However, his 2016 title win still remains his biggest accomplishment as it was really close to his heart. The kid from Akron had brought an NBA championship to his hometown.

Following the brilliant, James sported an ‘Ultimate Warrior’ t-shirt, which was manufactured by Homage, a private apparel company.
The company sold over 100 t-shirts just an hour after the picture of James sporting the $32 apparel went viral across social media platforms. This incident directly helped Homage generate $10 to $99 million in revenue annually.
