When Draymond Green and Hazel Renee said “I do” in front of their family and friends, the latter knew the sort of crazy she was signing up for. While it has been only 2 years since their marriage, Hazel has seen enough of Draymond’s wild already since the two have been together since their university days. But what about even before that? It’s a little secret Renee has always kept away from the public eye. But now, she finally opened up about it on the latest episode of Everybody’s Crazy.
During the show, a caller asked whether there’s a fixed time that one should take to get married once they meet the right person. Hazel chose to answer the question with some wisdom from her own experience. “As someone who was in a rather moving fast relationship, I’m happily married,” Missus Green said. She also reflected that she and Draymond have been through tough times in their journey, acknowledging that it takes time to completely know one another.
However, she added, “It was like a hurricane of fun and crazy and, like, we were just feeling all the things and we moved so fast that, whoo hoo, you just have to be ready for that.” Hazel claimed that things might not always go exactly as planned, but that doesn’t mean the relationship will fall apart. She further highlighted, “What I will say is, do not sabotage what’s good. Let the good come. Don’t question it. If it feels good to you, hold on to that. Don’t let anybody else get in your head. Like, it feels good to you, then that’s what matters.”

It seems Hazel has grown and evolved after her breakup with former Philadelphia guard Jacob Pullen. Their relationship was short-lived, reportedly ending due to the challenges of long distance. Having an experience like that makes Hazel eligible to offer such advice to the caller. After her breakup, she found happiness in Draymond’s presence, which is why moving quickly in their relationship felt right to her. She shared the same perspective with the caller, suggesting to put their hands up and enjoy the roller coaster ride if and when

A sneak peek into Hazel Renee and Draymond Green’s fast moving relationship
Despite Hazel and the Warriors forward knowing each other from the early days, they had always been friends and went on their separate ways after Draymond got drafted. However, a few years after her split, the friendship turned into something serious when she began dating Draymond. Their relationship became public in 2018 and the events unfolded quickly after that. A year later, they got engaged. And soon in 2020, they welcomed their daughter, Cash. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they had to postpone their wedding but finally celebrated that, too, in grand style in 2022.

Today, not only does Hazel share a strong bond with Draymond, but her daughter from Pullen, Olive, also has a close connection with him. Similarly, Hazel holds a special place in her heart for Draymond’s daughter, Kyla, from his ex-girlfriend. While they might have moved quickly toward marriage, their strong and healthy bond proves Hazel’s point that true happiness and getting to know each other matters the most irrespective of time limits.
