Anthony Edwards and Co. have had quite a successful year. The Wolves made a deep postseason run, established themselves as a threat in the West, and showed great future potential. For the Wolves fans, they can be more than happy considering Minnesota’s front office being active during the offseason. They introduced two solid rookies who are committed to taking this franchise to greater heights. While they’ve never won a championship, they certainly are on the way.
The rookies, Rob Dillingham and Terrence Shannon Jr. recently revealed their expectations from their rookie seasons, in their introductory press conference. “I would say just to expect the same thing as last year. Whatever we can do to make them better, even if it’s the little things. We’re not focused on everything that’s around us I feel like we just going to make the best of what we got,” Dillingham detailed.
“Just just being ourself…just doing what we’re asked…from the start from the jump. I expect on winning a championship. And that’s what we came here to do. We fell a little short this year, but it’s always next year and that’s what we plan on doing,” Shannon Jr. revealed. Both the rookies are undeniably talented as they gave strong statements ahead of their debut. If you look closer there was one thing about their mindset that was quite common between the two of them.

While their confidence in their abilities is strong enough for them to make an impact, they seem very well aware of what their goal is as a team. Portraying a high level of self-confidence, it seems like Ant-Man’s new teammates have their feet grounded, as they know they won’t be playing every game, but they are gearing up to step up when required. However, there is more to the process of their first title.
Minnesota has reportedly also signed Joe Ingles to a one-year deal, as he’ll reunite with his former Jazz teammates, Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley. This signing was made possible after Kyle Anderson’s move to the Warriors. Ingles is a consistent outside scorer and with his former teammates, with the veteran averaging beyond 40% from deep, the trio might just gel together again on the court.
From 2017-2020, the Jazz were at their peak. Ingles was an unstoppable deep-range shooter. Gobert was collecting DPOYs every year, and others kept improving by the week. However, he isn’t as deadly of a shooter as he used to be. However, he’s still better than many proclaimed sharpshooters in the league, spearheading his team’s 3-point count last season at a staggering 43.5%.
He takes fewer attempts now but still manages to swish in the most. Adding Ingles to the roster, the Wolves are doing a pretty good job at deepening their lineup. But with Anthony Edwards and KAT managing the floor, Ingles and Co. will play fewer minutes. Besides, the rookies will also be looking to prove themselves in the minimal time they get. But how are the odds looking for the Wolves?

What is next for Anthony Edwards and the Wolves?
Following their Conference Finals appearance, the Wolves are cruising on the right track so far. But the squad lacks a scorer outside of KAT and Edwards. Dillingham, the rookie, who averages 44% from beyond the arc and 15.2 points every game, can be counted on, but he is still quite young. The front office can look to bring in someone like Jordan Poole or D-Lo to fill the vacant spot. At the same time, Gobert and KAT are also already solid partners in the paint.
Edwards’ performance will only improve as he becomes a more dynamic scorer each year. Minnesota will need some help after Anderson’s departure. He was a key player on the squad and wanted to return too. However, accommodating him simply became too expensive for the Wolves. Apart from that, Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Luka Graza will be brought back on a two-year deal for mainly roster depth.

They are also in the race to sign Lauri Markkanen this offseason and hold decent bargaining power with several youngsters and future picks in their control to exchange. So, all this simply shows that the Minnesota side is thinking big, as they aim for the stars.
