His famous takeaway order from Chick-fil-A the day after he won his first championship took rounds on the internet and is still renowned to this day. It is safe to say that the Freak loves his fast food. He loves eating chicken wings right after his games, be it during the press conference or post-game interview. However, his recent request for a fast-food franchise excited many fans around the country.

Wingstop’s Hot Honey Rub flavor which was earlier available for a limited period is now back. But what’s surprising is that this fan-favorite flavor will permanently have its name on the menu. There have been multiple requests to bring this flavor back from not only Wingstop lovers but also celebrities, and athletes. Giannis decided to make some calls to bring Wingstop’s top-performing LTO flavor of all time back on the menu. The Greek Freak took to Instagram to update his followers regarding the same.

“Hey Guys, I got you. Relax. I got you. I made a few phone calls at Wingstop. They saw my tweet. They read your comments. Hot Honey Rub is here to stay. It’s going to be permanently on the menu.”, said Giannis in his recent reel on Instagram. The Freak might just become a fan favorite among Wingstop lovers for pulling this move. While Hot Honey Rub’s return wasn’t solely because of Giannis, it came after multiple requests from fans via Instagram, Twitter, and even written letters.

Yes, the Greek Freak loves having wings every now and then, however, the Olympics are not so distant. Greece just qualified for the Olympics after 16 years and to see Giannis break the surprising news while with his national team tells a lot about his love for his favorite fast-food. While Giannis will be away for a while, competing in the Olympics and enjoying his offseason, we can expect an update from him as soon as he tries the Hot Honey Rub when he gets back to the States.

As the Greek Freak posted a reel tagging Wingstop, fans filled the comment section with all sorts of comments. Quite a few of them thanked him for playing his part while others were just thrilled to try the fan-favorite as soon as possible. Comments like, “A man for the people”, “Thank you my GOAT”, “Appreciate it big dog”, “Best Collab”, “Placing an order today”, filled the replies. Clearly, the fans loved the collab as much as they were excited about Hot Honey Rub’s comeback.

Even though Giannis will be away from the States for the next month, the Wingstop lover won’t hesitate to get his order as soon as he gets home. Greece is set to play in the Olympics and so is Giannis. The Greek Freak is coming off a strong performance in the OQT, and he’ll look to put up a similar performance against Canada on the 27th.
