Luka Doncic stamped his authority in the league with his first-ever Finals qualification. He added a 36-point outing in Game 5 to eliminate the Minnesota Timberwolves with an impressive 4-1 series win. And as an icing on the cake, the Slovenian star also received the Western Conference Finals MVP. Following the adrenaline rush, the 25-year-old proceeded to recreate a wholesome moment from his childhood along with his dad.

Doncic took to his Instagram stories and shared a ‘Then & Now’ picture with his dad, Sasa Doncic. The story involved two pictures, one from 2008 where father Doncic walked alongside his 9-year-old son after winning a junior league. The second picture featured both father and son posing with the WCF MVP award.

It is indeed a wholesome picture, summarizing the Mavs guard’s journey on the hardwood. Luka Doncic started very early and spent most of his life on the basketball court. Sasa Doncic, a former professional baller became the star’s first coach at a very young age. , Doncic’s natural talent and balling IQ found him a place in Real Madrid’s youth team at the age of 13. Staying from his family and without understanding a single word of Spanish, he became the youngest player to play for the club after three years.

Moreover, Doncic didn’t just play for the club but also won three titles, 2  Copus Del Key, the Euro League Championship, and an Intercontinental Cup before making it to the NBA. Notably, he gave a glimpse of his prowess against Russell Westbrook’s OKC Thunder in a friendly game in Real Madrid threads.

The duo even created history in the process by becoming the first-ever backcourt duo in the history of the league to drop at least 30 points each in 4 games in the playoffs.
