The Golden State Warriors have had a clean record in the preseason so far with 4 straight victories. However, the Dubs seemed to have trouble securing their streak to a 7′ 4 baller, Victor Wembanyama. The San Francisco side took on the San Antonio Spurs in their fifth and final pre-season game on Friday night. While the Warriors get the praise for being the one of the most skillful team in the league, they have a new battle in front them to tackle. Especially for the 4x NBA Champion Klay Thompson, who faced an embarrassment from the French baller, minutes into the game.

The 19-year-old rising star has been making waves in the NBA world with his preseason performances. In his three games ahead of the Dubs’ match up, he registered a steady average of 17 points. On top of it, it didn’t stop only at offence, he did his trick at the defense end as well. Wemby made his name count in blocks and steals columns as well. Unfortunately, the Dubs Nations had to witness their hero go down as he continued it in the Friday night game as well.

The game started off with a mild humor when Stephen Curry went up against Victor Wembanyama for the jump ball. Fans on social media went haywire, taking a light dig at the superstar. Little did the fans know what Wemby had in his stores for the Dubs. He not only won the jump ball but also embarrassed Steph’s Splash Bro Klay Thompson with a rejection.

Six minutes into the game, the Warriors were 7 points behind the Spurs. Thompson found an opportunity to cut down their lead by four points. He positioned himself for an open three, like he always does, but this time, he had a new opponent.

Wemby leaned forward from the paint, stretching his arm to block China Klay.

Moreover, it didn’t end there. Wembanyama collected the ball and ran to the other end of the court for a dunk, leaving the Chase center in shell shock. Importantly, to rub salt in Thompson’s wound, he waited for him to reach the rim and then dunked it.
