The former Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade officially became a Hall of Famer this weekend. The NBA inducted the three-time NBA champion as a unanimous Hall of Famer during the ceremony and handed in his trophy. Afterward, though, he had to jokingly ask it back from one of his former Heat teammates.

There was never any doubt over the legacy Wade had created and that NBA would recognize him for that. But never in his wildest dreams, he must have thought of taking it back from someone.

After the ceremony, Dwyane Wade was chatting with a few other NBA superstars, while Bam Adebayo was holding his Hall of Fame trophy. The former Miami Heat teammate was right by Wade’s side when he said, “He over there celebrating and I’m over happy ’cause I got the Hall of Fame trophy in my hand”. He then jokingly asked D Wade whether he wanted it back to which the latter replied, “Imma take it”.

The connection between Wade and Bam goes way back as they played together for one season. Upon Wade’s return to the Heat, Adebayo and he shared the court. The duo was part of various iconic moments in what turned out to be the last NBA season for The Flash.
