Davis candidly answered questions regarding their disparaging loss against the Kings and how James had motivated him to perform better during their next game with the Orlando Magic.

“Just being locked in. It’s a tough loss last night and you know want to get back in the win column. You know we feel like we should have left that one last night slip away. Knowing that also this team, young team hungry team play fast, crash your glass. You know we want to do anything possible to get that win. I just want to do my part.”
For the unversed, the Los Angeles Lakers lost against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday by a narrow margin of 127-132 despite Davis registering 30 points with 16 rebounds. King James had taken note of that and predicted that Davis would perform better during their next game against the Orlando Magic. The game was poised when the Kings’ Malik Mon clutched up, with 11 of his 22 points during the Overtime. However, Davis along with King James tried their best by putting up a tough fight against their competitors.

King James also recorded a double-double with 27 points and 15 rebounds, along with 8 assists. The game was so close that it saw every Laker contributing his part. While D’Angelo Russell pocketed 17 points and 9 assists, Rui Hachimiro and Christian Woods racked up 11 points each. But things did change during their next game against the Orlando Magic.

In their next game, the Los Angeles Lakers won the close contest by a narrow margin of 106-103. Davis recorded another double-double by scoring 26 points with 19 rebounds. Putting up 19 points, King James wasn’t too far behind. The best display came from D’Angelo Russell who marked 28 points with 2 rebounds and 8 assists on 10-14 shooting. He also made two clutch free throws to take the game away from the Magic.
