The Golden State Warriors’ upcoming matchup is going to be a tough one as it is against the formidable squad of the Indiana Pacers. The Railroad City has had its ups and downs this season but is currently boasting a 2-game winning streak and ranked 6th in the Eastern Conference. But the same cannot be said about the Warriors as they have been on an absolute decline this season. The once-dominating squad of the tough Western Conference is now sitting at the 11th rank and struggling to find victories.
The only saving grace in the Dubs squad is their cornerstone, Stephen Curry. He has been performing exceptionally well and even put up 60 points recently, but even then his team was unable to capitalize on it. The only positive the Warriors have had this season is that Curry has been in his healthiest form and missed only three games. He will naturally be a part of the upcoming game against the Pacers.
On the other hand, according to the injury report, one member of the core Warriors team is questionable due to a right knee contusion. Draymond Green, who played limited minutes in his last match for not aggravating his injury, is questionable for the Pacers game. But as Green was questionable in the last game against the Sixers and played even then, the possibility of him being a part of the upcoming Pacers match is also very high.

So if we consider that Green will be playing, the projected lineup for the Warriors will be Stephen Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Klay Thompson, Jonathan Kuminga, and Draymond Green. Capping off their five-game away trip against the Pacers, how did the faceoff between the two teams end last time?

The Indiana Pacers and Golden State Warriors last met on December 14, 2022, in a thrilling game that highlighted the individual talents of crucial players on both teams. The Pacers defeated the Warriors 125-119 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, thanks to the explosive combination of Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin. After scoring only one point in the previous game, Haliburton replied powerfully with a 29-point outburst. His rapid scoring, notably in the first half when he scored 20 points, along with his exceptional playmaking abilities helped Indiana take a dominating lead.

On the other hand, despite the setback, the Golden State enjoyed a standout effort from the 4x NBA Champion Stephen Curry. He scored 38 points, demonstrating his shooting skill and accuracy from beyond the arc. However, his contribution was hampered by an unexpected shoulder injury in the third quarter, forcing him to leave the game early due to which the Pacers were able to capitalize on the Dubs and emerge victorious.
