Warriors Injury Report: Update On Draymond Green Could Hamper His Efforts To Save Steph Curry & Co Ahead Of 76ers Clash

After an impressive victory against the Brooklyn Nets, the Golden State Warriors head to the Wells Fargo Center again to face the Philadelphia 76ers. However, an update on Draymond Green’s health threatens to crush the confidence the Dubs built up in their last win. Dray’s impact on the court has become a necessity for the Warriors are his absence presents instability in the roster evident all season.

According to the last updates on X by Anthony Slater, “Draymond Green is questionable for the Warriors in Philadelphia tomorrow night. Right knee contusion he’s been dealing with during this trip. Andrew Wiggins is probable to return.”

This is concerning news for Golden State, as the time Slater reported on Green earlier this week claiming he would save the Warriors season. In an interview with The Athletic, the former Defensive Player of the Year shared his plan to “play well and win.” That seems to be in jeopardy as of the latest injury update. Other than Green, Chris Paul and Gary Payton II also remain out due to their earlier injuries. On the Sixers’ side, their MVP Joel Embiid also isn’t anywhere close to showing up.

Kuminga’s fall on the knee of the reigning MVP led to a lateral meniscus tear in the MVP’s left leg. This happened in the Sixers’ loss to the Warriors in their last match-up. On Tuesday, Embiid underwent a successful surgery and is set to undergo re-evaluation in the coming four weeks. His appearance in the game despite his injury didn’t help, however, as they lost to the Warriors 110-107. Among the primary contributors to that game was Draymond.
