The last three victories of the Golden State Warriors were without their key superstar, Stephen Curry. Watching the rest of the team step up in the Splash Bro’s absence and lead the Warriors to impressive wins was both refreshing and promising. Still, fans can’t help but wonder how things might’ve been if Steph had been right there with them. Well, the latest update on the 4x champ is one of relief.

After participating in “parts” of the workout ahead of the team’s game against Houston, Anthony Slater has taken to X to post good news that Stephen Curryhas been upgraded to questionable tomorrow in DC against the Wizards.”

Of course, the main aspect here is the Steph Curry-Jordan Poole showdown. And it’s simply not because of their history.

The former Warrior has been showcasing an admirable improvement in his performance in what looks to be a rebuilding year for Washington. The backcourt duo of Poole-Coulibaly has seen nothing but growth these past matchups despite their 2-3 record.

With Draymond Green also intent on putting forward the best version of himself, particularly in terms of his behavior, it isn’t surprising that fans are enthusiastic about the Wizards game. As such, why don’t we take a look at some of the more interesting comments? You’d be pleasantly surprised at just how high Dub Nation’s hopes already are!

“We will be there”: Stephen Curry-Jordan Poole clash sparks excitement among Warriors fans

“Steph vs Poole. We will be there,” wrote one fan, effectively reflecting the excitement and anticipation among Warriors fans regarding the dynamic between Stephen Curry and Jordan Poole. It also very well captures the renewed hope shared by many for the return of those ‘Poole Party’ moments.

This next fan has similar thoughts, only, they have taken it a step further with a Kylian Mbappé poster. Captioning, “Steph curry return against Jordan Poole,” the user has added the Frenchman’s assuring comment on staying at PSG in 2020-21, “I will be there no matter what,” clearly conveying the Splash Bro’s determination to face Poole, regardless of challenges or circumstances.

And then there is the calm fan, expressing their excitement with a touch of diplomacy. “Happy to see that. Also happy to see Poole back to his best self. Looking forward to how he handles the swarming defense.” A strong offseason has seen amazing growth in the Michigan product, not just in terms of his offensive game.

Aside from growth as a facilitator, the 25-year-old has also upped his defense. Just take the Wizards‘ loss to the Heat, for example. The young guard demonstrated his enhanced defensive skills with two steals and two blocks.

Aside from the obvious excitement, though, there were a few who viewed these uplifting updates to be a sign of greater things to come. More specifically, a Celtics-Warriors showdown!

“Good. needs a warmup game before humbling boston again,” commented one confident fan, keeping it quite casual. Finally, this last user seems to have no qualms about Steph’s absence as long as he is present for a Boston matchup. “As long as he’s back to cook Boston im good.”

Either they have complete confidence in the recent surge of Golden State players to hold the fort down in Stephen Curry’s absence or they believe that the 10x All-Star’s presence alone is enough to ensure a strong performance against a rival like Boston.
