Witnessing the Golden State Warriors from this season has been painful for many loyal fans. Rooster instability has haunted the Dubs consistently. On top of that, their core defensive player Draymond Green missed 25 games due to suspension. Moreover, their new offseason acquisition of veteran floor general Chris Paul hasn’t been beneficial, as injuries and roster changes by Steve Kerr didn’t give him enough time to mesh with the team.
Hence, it’s safe to say that the Warriors are amid an identity crisis for the first time in almost a decade. Naturally, this has caught the eye of many analysts. This time Celtics legend Paul Peirce a.k.a ‘The Truth’ points it out in a new post on X captioned, “@PaulPierce34 is putting the Warriors struggles on HC Steve Kerr, “This Warriors team doesn’t have an identity. They’re going to have to make some tough decisions this summer.”

The former Finals MVP illustrates in the clip, “They’ve 22 different starting line-ups, you know. Chris Paul started 14 games this year, now he’s on the bench. Klay started 53 games now he’s on the bench. ” In the end, ‘Truth’ directs the blame in a very specific direction. “I think a lot of this I gotta put on Steve Kerr,” said Peirce.
Currently, the Warriors have 36 wins and 34 losses at the 10th seed in the West. However, closely following them are the Houston Rockets who are 35 wins and losses. Only a few more bad games can end the Dubs’s season, leaving their front office with a ‘full plate’ of tough decisions for the offseason.

The Warriors have a tough road ahead
Golden State has won only 4 games out of the last 10 they’ve played, out of the 6 losses, four have been at Chase Center. This is alarming for the Dubs as their home record has always been a strong suit. With only 12 games left in their season, things are not looking up for the Warriors. However, if they end up winning most of the games, they can approach the play-in with a different mindset.
On the other hand, losing would have quite a few consequences. Chief among those would probably be a huge question mark on Klay Thompson’s position on the team. Despite playing and adjusting very well to his role on the bench, this season can very well be his last.

In hopes of bouncing right back, the Warriors face the Miami Heat on the 26th at the Kaseya Center and will look to stay afloat in the play-in field.
