Myers, freed from the burden of running the Warriors, discusses his decision to retire. However, he still cares strongly for the team and understands the difficulty of not being on the field with the individuals with whom he has established close bonds. He provided a perspective on Draymond Green’s latest suspension and the Warriors’ five-game losing skid, which only someone closely acquainted with the team chemistry can provide. He digs into his approach as GM, emphasizing the importance of responsibility and recognizing Green’s significance despite unexpected conflicts.

In the interview when they asked him about what would he do if he were the GM about the Draymond situation, he said, “If that?s me, I?m saying, ‘That?s it, you?ve made your mistake in Game 10, so now you can?t make any more.’?I would assume he?d look me in the eye and say, ?Yeah, OK.? Kind of used up your mulligan early. So now we?ve gotta get through the rest of the 18 holes.”

He even assumed what Green would say to him and said, “You?re right, it?s not good for the team, it?s not good for (me).” Many fans and analysts have speculated that Green went out of control and the Warriors are forced to endure his tantrums. But to all those speculations Myers just had one thing to say, “Draymond is worth it, and the Warriors are built to deal with this.

The NBA has banned Draymond Green because of his physical altercation with Minnesota Timberwolves’ Rudy Gobert. They highlighted Green’s “unsportsmanlike and dangerous” behavior in imposing one of the longest punishments in recent times. The incident happened when a physical altercation between Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels started. And that fight escalated when Gobert went in defense of his teammate and grabbed Thompson. When Green saw this he completely lost his cool and caught Gobert in a choke-hold.

Not only did Green get banned for 5 games but it will also cost him $769,704 in forfeited salary. Because of his actions, he will be missing many crucial games which is a disadvantage for the Warriors. The NBA enforced Green’s punishment by citing his record of unsportsmanlike behavior. Green’s contribution to this fight was his second ejection over the past three games. Now because of this, the Warriors will have to figure out a way they can get through this challenging stretch without their key player.
