It’s undoubtedly the perfect time to be a Dubs fan. The Bay Area has produced an insane 7-1 run since the Jimmy Butler trade. It’s not only about the streak, but the team has given fans something to look forward to. The revival of the fallen dynasty, maybe. As of now, it does look like that unless the Warriors face a miraculous injury trouble out of nowhere. Or did the team come across a major setback, 8 games into the Butler trade?

Unfortunately, yes. Tragedy has struck the root of the team’s resurrection. The team has listed Jimmy Butler in the Questionable category, citing mid-back spasms. This is something that has often sidelined the veteran forward in recent times. Just as Stephen Curry began to express himself on the court, the team has a fresh trouble. Considering the match-up tonight, facing the Philadelphia 76ers, the Dubs might rest the 35-year-old, as he can rest enough for the big challenges in the coming days.

Apart from the 6x NBA All-Star, the team has another member on the injury report, Jonathan Kuminga. Even though the young forward is on the report, it’s a positive sign. For close to a month, he was sidelined with an ankle injury and the team had roped in Butler and Kevin Knox to fill his spot for the time being. While there isn’t any official timeline yet for his return, the young gun is gearing up for a return soon.

On the other hand, the Sixers have a packed injury report. Yesterday, the team announced that Joel Embiid would undergo a season-ending surgery, almost hinting at the team’s season verdict. With two players already ruled out with season-ending injury (Jared McCain), the team has listed out Kyle Lowry and Eric Gordon for tonight’s game.

Jimmy Butler & Co. vs the Sixers: Starting Lineup and Depth Chart

In the last game, Stephen Curry went haywire, dropping his season-high 56 points. He will look to continue it tonight as well, but will the circumstances allow him? After Butler’s inclusion, the Baby-faced Assassin got some free space on the floor that he barely had in the last few seasons. Now that the veteran forward might sit out for the Sixers’ game, Steve Kerr will have to step in with a different strategy to keep the winning streak alive.

The team is in a bad shape. One can easily sense the locker room mood, as they continue to face setback after setback. However, tonight, stepping on to the court, the players should shut down all the noise and trust their offense machines, Tyrese Maxey and Paul George do the business. Who do you think will win?
