It has been a month since Draymond Green has played in an NBA game. The Golden State Warriors Center got suspended last month for hitting Suns Center Jusuf Nurkić during a game. Green served a 12-game suspension and got reinstated by the NBA last week. However, he has not suited up for the Warriors despite being given the green light by the league. Stephen Curry and Co. will face the Milwaukee Bucks tonight, and Draymond will be out of action for that game.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr finally put a timeline on Draymond Green’s return after he got ruled out for tonight’s clash against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co.

Steve Kerr revealed ahead of tonight’s game that Draymond Green might suit up for the Warriors as early as Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies. “He’s been working out every day. And he said he is coming around and feeling good. So, there is a chance he can play in Memphis or in Utah.” Kerr said. The Warriors will play a Ja Morant-less Memphis Grizzlies in the next game. And that might be the perfect game for Green to make his return and get back in rhythm. The Grizzlies are one of the worst teams in the league without Ja, and Kerr will have the freedom to test out different lineups with Draymond.

If Green does not return on Monday, he might suit up for Wednesday’s game against the Utah Jazz. Dub Nation might want Draymond to return sooner rather than later because many things depend on how he performs upon his return to action.

The Warriors front office is reportedly waiting to see how Stephen Curry and Co. perform with Draymond in the lineup before they make any trade offers for a star like Pascal Siakam.

Green’s impact on the Warriors

Not only does Draymond Green’s return affect the Warriors’ trade decisions, but it also impacts how Stephen Curry and Co. perform on the hardwood. Green was averaging 9.7 points, 5.8 assists, and 5.5 rebounds before suspension. With Draymond in the lineup, the Warriors are stronger both defensively and offensively. The former DPOY is a vocal leader for the Warriors, and he can use his Championship experience to guide his young teammates. Draymond’s return also has the potential to unlock Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

The Big 3 has been playing together for over a decade and are familiar with each other’s playing style. With Draymond’s playmaking ability, Steph and Klay can get more easy and open shots during games. The Warriors need Draymond back in the lineup, as Chris Paul is also out for several weeks due to his fractured hand.
