The Golden State Warriors managed to get themselves out of deep water after a 6-game losing streak. After a clinical performance against the Houston Rockets, they notched their 7th win of the season. The team also has another update to cheer about, as the five-game suspension of Draymond Green has come to an end. Head coach Steve Kerr recently revealed the star’s availability for the next game.
After a great start to the 2023-24 campaign, the Warriors were in all sorts of trouble. Apart from Stephen Curry, offensive leaders like Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson didn’t contribute effectively. Later, Steph missed out on a couple of games due to a knee injury, and above all, Green received a 5-game suspension over an ugly on-court fight. However, things seem to getting back on track.

Steve Kerr updates on Draymond Green’s availability
During the match-up against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green engaged in a physical altercation with the Wolves. The situation went out of hand when Green pulled out a choke hold on Rudy Gobert. The referees ejected both Warriors stars, and the league imposed a 5-game suspension on the former DPOY.

The Dubs take on the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night in an away game. This will be the second clash between both teams and the Suns are already one up. Interestingly, Green wasn’t available for the first outing because of an injury during the off-season. Now that the Dubs star is eligible to play, Steve Kerr revealed an update on Draymond‘s availability. He said, “[Draymond Green] scrimmaged today with our younger guys and he’s on the trip here to Phoenix… He’s getting his work in and we’ve been talking every day,” tweeted 95.7 The Game.
If DrayMagic gets the green light for the Wednesday night game, it might disrupt the starting line-up of the Bay Area team again.

Will the inclusion of Draymond Green in the starting line-up affect the Dubs?
In the absence of Green, the Warriors went with the veteran point guard Chris Paul in the starting line-up. It worked well for the team as they came out of the losing streak.
CP3 played the leader of the second unit until the Dubs were drowning in deep water. Even though he didn’t contribute much to the team’s points column, he played the role of facilitator. However, after he transitioned into the starting line-up, Paul has been an active contributor at the point column as well. Eventually, the team found a winning formula. Meanwhile, Green is all set to return to the court and the Warriors’ effort to construct a team out of the 6-game losing streak may go in vain.
