Well, this isn’t something new in the Warriors fold. The sight of Draymond Green screaming at one of his teammates. In a way, it could be an outburst because of the team’s underwhelming run over the last few weeks. We have seen multiple faces on the receiving end, this time, it was the latest member of the Bay Area team – Buddy Hield. Tonight, amid yet another lackluster game against the Phoenix Suns, DrayMagic caught everyone’s attention.
Off-late, the Splash Buddy hasn’t been up to the mark, considering the impact that he left on the initial few games. In fact, he put his name on the MVP list, averaging 21.1 ppg in the first 8 games. However, the numbers continued to drop as the games passed by. In December alone, the star has averaged 10.4 ppg with a lone high score of 24 points.
Tonight, Buddy Hield had trouble with his shooting. He went 0-7 FG. During a particular play in the third quarter, the star guard shot an airball and it triggered a violent reaction from Draymond Green. The veteran was seen lashing out at Hield and was heard, screaming, “Wake the f*ck up.”

Apart from Hield’s poor form, the Warriors also dealt with a recurring blunder – Turnovers. Currently, the team ranks in the 17th spot for the most turnovers conceded this season. Tonight, the Dubs gave away 11 turnovers. Fortunately, it was 2 less than the Suns’ turnovers. So, the team was able to take down the Valley side at home with a close 109-105 win.

While Draymond Green lashed out at the team’s ace shooter for shooting an airball, the veteran himself has been going through a nasty slump. Moreover, one of the games, he also has an embarrassing stat line.
Draymond Green’s hypocritical outburst at Buddy Hield
Tonight, Green was all charged up. After sitting out in the first game of the back-to-back challenge against the LA Clippers, Green and Stephen Curry laced up tonight. The star power forward was all over the court, dropping 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists and that also included 3 three-pointers and 2 blocks.

You may wonder that Green has proven himself to lash out at Hield. But if we go back in time, there’s another story. In the previous 7 games, he averaged only 6 ppg. In one of the games, he scored 21 points. Most importantly, in the game against the Grizzlies, Green played 19 minutes and recorded 0 pts, 0 rbs, 0 asts, and went 0-4 from the field. It’s quite hypocritical of him to call out Buddy Hield on tonight’s occasion.
Nevertheless, the Warriors managed to finally sneak a win amid their serious slump. Thanks to Jonathan Kuminga. The rising star went on to drop back-to-back 34 points to help the team cross the line. Moreover, amid his struggles with free throws, Kuminga dropped a clutch free throw to save the game. Can the Warriors find a similar rise to form from Hield? Well, it’s all left to Steve Kerr and how he decides to use him in the mix. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
