Patrick Beverley supporting Trump—does this change your view on him as a player?

Donald Trump’s Pennsylvania rally nearly turned into one of the most notorious incidents in US political history. The presidential candidate survived an assassination attempt during his speech. While there was panic and mayhem all around in the wake of the incident, Trump stood back up with his arms raised showing defiance. The margin was just a quarter of an inch as the bullet grazed his right ear.

Several politicians, experts, and even athletes spoke about the incident, as everyone wished Donald Trump a speedy recovery from the injury that he suffered. Recently, even Patrick Beverley, who is leaving the NBA to join EuroLeague’s Hapoel Tav Aviv, spoke about the incident on his podcast. Least to say, the defensive disruptor was in shock when he first heard about the incident. He couldn’t help but tip his hat to the former POTUS.

“In my neighborhood, some people like to throw up the five. To the chest throw up the five. So my homie called me. Hey bro you see Trump just throw up the fin?” Pat Bev said recalling Trump’s immediate reaction to the incident. “I say nah man. I say this m*********er Trump he tough. He tough”.

One of Beverley’s friends, who admitted to never voting in his life, said he would vote for Donald Trump for the manner in which the presidential candidate handled himself in such feral conditions. “One of my homies say ‘Pat I ain’t never voted in my life…I got shot a couple of times. Just the fact he went through what I went through I am voting for his a**,” Beverley revealed.

After momentarily speaking about the former POTUS, Patrick Beverley moved his attention to Comperatore and sent his condolences to the family of the deceased. “I hope nobody got hit in the crowd and then I heard that somebody did and they passed. Somebody else got like, it’s a lot of stuff. So prayers up to that family too. But the actual sacrifice that he showed. I think he was a Chief Firefighter. Yeah man, rest in heaven man for real,” Beverley said respectfully.

Even Donald Trump honored the brave Comperatore for his deeds. “He lost his life selflessly acting as a human shield to protect them (his family) from flying bullets. What a fine man he was,” said Donald Trump.

During his Republican National Convention speech in Milwaukee, Trump had Comperatore’s firefighter uniform on stage. He then asked the crowd for a minute of silence and also kissed the helmet to show his gratitude for Corey Comperatore.
