Jimmy Butler seems to be having some fun with the latest NBA trade chatter. Even though the trade deadline is still months away, rumors are already heating up. According to insider John Gambadoro, Butler has been correctly linked to the Phoenix Suns. The 35-year-old has been a cornerstone for the Miami Heat over the past six seasons, but his name has popped up in trade talks more than once… Honestly, with all the speculation swirling, it’s hard not to wonder if there’s some truth to it.

Plus, with the whole Shams Charania and his agent Bernard Lee’s fiasco, the buzz is soaring higher than ever! After Bernie publicly called out the ESPN reporter for false reports, Butler might’ve thought let’s send people on a wild goose chase.

Jimmy turned up the heat on trade rumors, on Thursday, by posting pictures of his new orange hair on Instagram, just ahead of the Miami Heat’s game against the Toronto Raptors. So, is it safe to say he’s playing with the idea of joining the Suns? This is a big deal, especially with reports suggesting Butler has shown interest in a Phoenix move.

On Nov. 4, Butler went blondish-yellow, sparking talk that he might be eyeing a spot with the Warriors. Then, just two weeks later, he switched to red. Not only did it vibe with Miami’s “blood red” jerseys, but it also matched the colors of his hometown, Houston; so the Rockets. After rocking the red hair for a while, JB went full blue on Dec. 1 during a game in Toronto. The shade he chose? It’s a near-perfect match for the Dallas Mavericks‘ “Icon Edition” jerseys.

Are these the teams he wants to play for? Or is he just trolling us? Well, we’ll just have to wait and find out. Because we know what he does on media day.

Jimmy Butler’s Media Day shenanigans are loved by many, hated by a few

Media Day has recently become Jimmy Butler’s personal playground for trolling, and we’ve all come to expect it. Remember last year when he showed up with that Emo Jimmy look? Or the year before when he rocked the long hair? Heat fans ate it up, but for other fanbases, it was just another classic Butler move to distract everyone from the game itself.

So, with all the antics we’ve seen from him lately, we were ready for more of the same this year. But to our surprise, Jimmy took a completely different approach. No hair stunts, no jokes—just a serious, all-business vibe. Honestly, it was a bit of a shock.

After everything we’ve seen from him, we thought he’d keep the trolling going.

Then there was him trolling the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks.

Butler, who was sidelined with an MCL injury during the Heat’s first-round loss to the Celtics during the last season, caused a stir with his comments after the defeat. In a video, JB claimed that if he had been healthy, the Heat would’ve beaten the Celtics and the Knicks. His tweet read: “If I was playing, Boston would be at home, New York damn sure would be at home. Josh Hart? C’mon man.”

Riley wasn’t thrilled about those remarks. “For him to say that, I thought, ‘Is that Jimmy trolling or is that Jimmy serious?’” he said. “If you’re not on the court playing against Boston, if you’re not on the court playing against the New York Knicks, you should keep your mouth shut in your criticism of those teams.”

It’s clear that the hoopster’s words didn’t sit well with Riley, even though both have been key to the Heat’s success. But at the end of the day, everyone wants to win that ring, right?… And not just come close. So what do you think? Is Jimmy Buckets trolling us again?
