Who’s stopping these Golden State Warriors? Their NBA Cup journey remains unscathed. Facing an under-manned New Orleans Pelicans, Stephen Curry and Co, had a frantic way of claiming their straight win in the competition. And there was another presence in the building, who had been just as hot as the Bay. All the way from Cincinnati, Ja’Marr Chase got the Warrior experience from courtside.

The prolific receiver has been on a tear for the ages. Even with his elusive skills, the numbers just jump out. Over the last two games, he has scored 5 touchdowns. His tally of 12 is the second highest while Chase leads the NFL in receiving yards. Safe to say, he is a defender’s worst nightmare; just like Stephen Curry, who he enamored with their brief conversation after the game.

“Enjoyed the game. You a hell of a player bro, you look good,” mentioned the elite NFL receiver to the Chef.

It wasn’t the most explosive of nights for Curry by his standards. He scored 19 points in the four-point win, hitting three triples to keep the Pelicans at bay. However, when his scoring wasn’t going, Stephen Curry used his gravitational pull to act as a decoy. The 36-year-old compiled a team-high 7 assists, even getting a steal and a block.

But even though it wasn’t Curry, the Warriors found a turnaround, thanks to Andrew Wiggins.

By no means did the Pelicans make things easy for the Warriors. After enjoying a lead, they bounced back in the second half, holding onto a small lead and putting pressure on the Warriors. Moreover, they had done a great job of taking Stephen Curry out of the mix. However, there’s one thing Steve Kerr has raved about since the beginning of the season.

The Warriors are a deep squad.

Aside from the 43 points their bench produced over the last few games, it seems to be Andrew Wiggins’ turn. The Canadian forward came into the contest, scoring 22 and 27, both on mega efficiencies. Tonight, they needed that from him again. And the former top pick added a game-high 30 points, including seven points, in the fourth quarter to ice out the game.

Securing a third straight in the NBA Cup, the Warriors are now the first team to qualify for the elimination round. However, there are still some troubles that need to be addressed. Notably, their turnovers once again ramped up. The Pelicans forced 16 turnovers from the Bay, however, could not make much of them, only scoring 14 points off them.

A little more clinical and the Warriors might have had a different result in front of them. Still, at the end of the day, they found a way to hold their nerves and even stage a turnaround from their brief lapses. Also, the top seed in the West, Stephen Curry, and the Warriors are beginning to look like genuine dark horses.
