Former Villanova Wildcats players Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart’s brotherhood goes all the way back to 2015. Bridges had just joined the team while Hart was already in his junior year. They shared two years as teammates on-court and have built a solid friendship off it since then. But that does not mean it had no drama, as the 27-year-old just shared what Hart was like.
Hart had arrived at Villanova two years prior to Mikal Bridges. By then, the guard had already earned the title of Most Outstanding Player in the 2015 Big East Tournament. So, sharing the spotlight with the star must have been tough.

While talking to Taylor Rooks for Bleacher Report, Bridges was asked about what it was like to play with Hart. And he shared, “Ever tell you that Josh was a bully in college?”. The forward then explained the situation when he was a young freshman. “We was in practice and we have like this side outbounds play that we run every single time. So obviously on defense like I know to play. He calls me a hack. I think he was upset because I was like packing him up you know in practice, just on defense,” Mikal Bridges added.
Bridges then retaliated and got aggressive with him. Just as Hart was about to go over screen, he shared that he “just like got up on him”. This obviously made Hart angry and so he picked up Bridges, right when he went and just threw him. This caused a small rift between the two for a few days. So, how did they make up? Well, in typical bro-fashion, Hart texted Mikal out of nowhere with just a, “You good?”
We are sure the team was glad they made up because how else could they have won the championship?

The 2015-16 NCAA season started off on a good note for the Villanova Wildcats. They were the favorites to win the title, and they did just that. This was the college’s second NCAA championship after the first one in 1985.
Josh Hart was drafted into the NBA in 2017 and moved to Los Angeles. Mikal stayed in college for another year before joining the Phoenix Suns in 2018. Despite them being in different cities, they still maintained their friendship and even played together for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup. The love remains between the two as they constantly talk about each other whenever a chance comes.
