There was some buzz around his future during the off-season. However, he put all rumors to rest as he sealed a four-year $54 million max contract.

The Los Angeles Lakers started off their 2022-23 campaign on a bad note. In fact, they weren’t in playoff contention for a majority of the season and they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves in the play-in to make the playoffs.

In the final 11 games of the regular season, Reaves averaged 19.8 points, 6.1 assists and also shot 58% from the field. This greatly helped their 9-2 run in the final stretch and clinched the 7th spot in the Western Conference.
