After a much-awaited couple of months, the NBA regular season is finally underway. Fans got a taste of what to expect in the preseason, but there is nothing like those regular season matchups. And the NBA world also got to see the new players in the league of this year’s NBA draft.

Out of the three players who played their first-ever official NBA game, only Brandon Miller and the Charlotte Hornets went home with the win. But Miller did not start the game, and came off the bench.
Nonetheless, the team and Brandon Miller’s first-ever game kicked off with a victory. So, that is something to be happy about. As for his performance, Miller played 25 minutes off the bench.
He scored 13 points, along with 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Miller only had 1 turnover for the game. Now onto Scoot Henderson. Henderson and the Portland Trail Blazers did not come away with the win.

Henderson scored 11 points with 3 rebounds and 4 assists for the game. Henderson had a slow night, missing all of his three-pointers, and also had 4 turnovers for the game. Now, onto Victor Wembanyama.
The number one pick and the future of the San Antonio Spurs played the least minutes in his debut matchup due to foul trouble. Yet, Wembanyama put up impressive stats with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block for the game.

Out of the top three rookies, it may be safe to say that Victor Wembanayama may have had the best rookie debut. His presence was felt all over the court in the limited minutes he played for the team.
As for Brandon Miller, he did not disappoint while coming off the bench. He relished the role of being the team’s energizer when the starters were not on the floor. And he scored crucial points for the team.
That leaves us with Scoot Henderson. Henderson had been playing in the G-League for a while. So, for him to get accustomed to the NBA should not have taken long. Fortunately, this was only the first game of the season.
