Is Simone Biles the greatest athlete of our generation? What do you think?

Simone Biles has done it again. If (a big if at that) there was ever a doubt about her GOAT status, her 6th Olympic Gold medal, her 31st overall, seals the deal that Simone Biles is the greatest ever. To witness her majestic win, stars crashed at the Bercy Arena in Paris. Devin Booker and his USA teammates were in attendance as they captured the winning moment on their recording devices, soaking in the piece of Olympic history. LeBron James, the king, the arguable GOAT even put his stamp of approval on Simone Biles’ greatness.

NBA world reacts to Simone Biles’ Olympic win

To commemorate the occasion, LeBron shared a post on his Instagram story. The 4-time NBA champion left a GOAT emoji on it to convey his short but powerful message. “Since 1976, every women’s Olympic All-Around champion has been under the age of 20. Simone Biles is 27 years old,” the original post highlighted this mindblowing stat, drawing a parallel between Biles and LeBron as they continue to defy age.

Magic went a step further to celebrate the win by posting a video of him and Simone Biles from 2016. The 5-time NBA champion revealed the story of his meeting with the Olympian and wrote, “It’s truly amazing that in 2017, I sat with Simone and her parents in the gym they own in Houston discussing her first Olympic all-around gold medal in Rio (2016), and she’s just won again today in 2024! I’m looking forward to seeing how the most decorated olympic gymnast continues to create history in the individual events this week.”

Kevin Durant also chimed in, rather hilariously and posted, “I really believe Goat Biles can catch a lob and finish.” Durant before the start of the event also revealed how he can improve himself by taking a page out of Biles’ notebook.

Another former Lakers legend, Pau Gasol also reacted to the win. SIMONE BILES! (USA flag, gold medal emoji) againnnnnn,” Gasol wrote on his X account. Gasol is in Paris just like the NBA stars. The two-time NBA champion also attended meetings with Paris Olympics delegations due to his role as the president of the Gasol Foundation, and a member of the International Olympic Committee’s Athletes’ Commission.
