Will the Paris Olympics be the ultimate proving ground for Curry and Booker to cement their legacies?

At the Tokyo Olympics, players were restricted to a bubble and their rooms. They weren’t allowed to leave their camps due to Covid. But this time, everything is different. After a dominant win against Serbia, Team USA stars spent the day out exploring different avenues at the Paris Olympics.

Tyrese Haliburton stepped out and explored the streets of Paris with his girlfriend, who document their day on Instagram. They first shopped at Chanel, then made a pit stop at Prada. This luxurious shopping spree was followed by delicious lunch after which the couple returned to a sporting event.

Olympics Debutant,  Stephen Curry was spotted at a volleyball game between USA & China. Dressed in all white, Curry met up with the USA Volleyball team and had a quick conversation with the players.

In other news, Bam Adebayo watched the USA Women’s Basketball Team secure a dominating win against Japan. Devin Booker, who recorded his day on Instagram, witnessed Team USA secure two medals in Skating.

What’s your perspective on:

Will the Paris Olympics be the ultimate proving ground for Curry and Booker to cement their legacies?

Have an interesting take?

Anthony Edwards was spotted watching a table tennis match where Team USA dominated Brazil, with a score of 7-2.

The majority opinion is that these players live in a space of their own and have not been seen mingling with other USA athletes. But this team, much like the Redeem team and others, is breaking these notions. With Team USA stepping out to support their fellow Olympians in other sports, they are displaying the love and unity Americans have among themselves. Additionally, they are setting an example for other countries to do the same and spread love and support for their countrymen and women.

What next for Team USA?

After Lebron James and Kevin Durant led the US team to a dominating win over Serbia, they don’t have much time to relax. Team USA has a match coming up July 31 against South Sudan in Lille, France. The last time Team US played South Sudan, it almost ended in an upset for the former team. Anyway, Team USA somehow managed to secure a narrow win with a score of 101-100. On the other hand, if South Sudan takes down the USA in the upcoming match, it would be a tremendous achievement for them, but team USA won’t be an easy team to beat, obviously.

After facing South Sudan, team USA will face Puerto Rico on August 3rd in Lille, France. The last time these two played against each other was in the FIBA 2023 World Cup tune up games, where USA dominated Puerto Rico with a 117-74 win. After already losing to South Sudan in their first game of the Paris Olympics 2024, Puerto Rico might not be at their utmost confidence.
