For years, Stephen Curry has battled with one glaring absence—a legit 7-foot stretch center to dominate the paint. Instead, he’s had to work with a revolving door of undersized power forwards, like Mo Speights and Otto Porter Jr., who’ve been asked to play out of position. And let’s not forget about Kevin Durant, who, while a cheat code, wasn’t quite the big man needed.

Steve Kerr shaked things again against the Kings, handing NBA minutes to Quinten Post. Post’s solid debut ensured that Kerr would give him more minutes. And he did today. In just 16 minutes, Post lit up the scoreboard with 15 points, sinking five threes in the blowout win against the Bulls. After the match, Steph was seen talking to Post, and his face was lit up. He finally looked happy again. I don’t remember the last time I saw the 2x MVP smiling.

While Chef Curry never shared the court with the rookie before Wednesday, he has shared a car ride with him though. After the 25-point dominant win against Chicago, the 24-year-old center revealed details about a late-night offer by the Curry. “It was like 2:30 at night, and we were at the airport,” Post began. “I’m trying to get an Uber to go home, but the service wasn’t working, and everybody was kind of leaving.”

While Post was trying to figure it out, Curry spotted him and asked, “Are you good?” When Post assured him he would manage, Curry insisted, “No, what do you mean? Like, hold on, I’m getting an Uber.”

“He drove me home. He made a little detour,” Post explained. “That just shows how he is as a person. Steph was the last person who needed to worry about me getting home, but that’s just the kind of teammate he is.” Post mentioned how Curry took a 20-minute detour to make sure he got home safely late at night, even though he didn’t have to. “I don’t even think he knew where I was staying, but he just made sure I got there.”

It’s stories like these that reveal the kind of leader and person the Warriors superstar is both on and off the court. It’s not just the game that speaks for him—it’s his actions as a teammate.

Is Quinten Post the missing piece Curry needed to dominate the NBA once again?

And tonight, the rookie might’ve had a better game than the greatest shooter ever.

Stephen Curry and Quinten Post combine for 41 points against the Windy City

Quinten Post came out of nowhere and made a splash in his second NBA game, showing why he’s a name to watch. In just 20 minutes, he dropped 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, with 5 made threes on 10 attempts against the Bulls. And the dude’s a seven-footer—yeah, you read that right. He was lights out, shooting at an 80.4% true shooting percentage.

This was the first actual glimpse of what Post can do, and he didn’t disappoint. His defense stood out too—he moved surprisingly well for his size and stayed locked in when switched onto the perimeter. Plus, he kept offensive boards alive and contributed to some crucial defensive stops.

Meanwhile, Stephen Curry did his usual thing, keeping the offense running smoothly. He wasn’t putting up crazy numbers, but his 21 points, 4 rebounds, and 7 assists helped keep things in check.

Despite the game being a blowout, Curry’s leadership was key in avoiding a late-game collapse like we saw in Sacramento. His steady presence on the floor kept the Warriors in control, even if his +4 didn’t stand out as much as usual.

Post may have stolen the show, but Curry’s leadership made sure the game didn’t slip away. This was a team effort, with Post shining in his own way. What do you think about this rookie?
