After he holed out on the 17th, Kim Si Woo jumped in joy and pulled out the iconic ‘Night-Night’ celebration, instantly creating a viral social media moment. In response to it, Stephen Curry shared the video clip of the celebration on his IG stories and wrote, “I appreciate the energy and the love.” But he also added, “Gotta know time and score tho!!! #USA,” stressing that he has kept an eye on the scoreboard. The American side won the game after Patrick Cantlay sank a 16-footer on the 18th.

Who is a better ambassador for the night-night celebration other than Steph himself? A few months ago in Paris, the 4x NBA Champ left the French fans in dismay after crushing the home team in the gold medal game. In the final match-up against France, the game went into a tight period in the last few minutes. That’s when Steph turned up his cylinders and sank four three-pointers in a row, crushing the French fans’ hopes with one bucket after another. After sinking the last three-pointer, Steph broke into a night-night celebration, leaving the rest of the fans hyped. Notably, even LeBron James attempted his luck at the celebration in Paris.
The celebration became a global sensation that Steph went on to file a trademark for the phrase ‘Nuit. Nuit,’ which meant ‘Night-Night’ in French.
