The Indiana Pacers are ecstatic after adding Pascal Siakam to their roster. The Pacers acquired the 2-time All-Star in a trade with the Raptors in exchange for Bruce Brown Jr., Jordan Nwora, and three first-round draft picks. Siakam has been a franchise player for the Raptors throughout his career and has the potential to lead the Pacers to a Championship.

Siakam’s new teammates, Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner, welcomed the power forward with open arms and revealed their expectations for the Pacers. Despite being injured, Tyrese Haliburton wasted no time welcoming Siakam to Indiana. Haliburton shared a post by the Pacers on his Instagram story that said, “Welcome Pascal Siakam.” He captioned the story, “UH OHHHHHHHH,” referring to how lethal the Pacers could be with Siakam in the lineup.

Pacers Center Myles Turner also welcomed Siakam to Indiana and revealed the team’s expectations after the big trade. “We are ready to win now. We haven’t been able to get to the playoffs these past couple of years, and it’s time.” Turner said on the SiriusXM Radio show.

The new-look Indiana Pacers will soon be in action

Even though Siakam has been traded to Indiana, it will take some time to see the Pacers in full force. Their superstar Tyrese Haliburton has been out for the last four games due to a Grade 1 hamstring strain. He suffered the injury during a game against the Boston Celtics on January 8. Haliburton hyper-extended his hamstring after he slipped during a drive to the basket. He is still recovering from the injury and has been ruled out of tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings. Pascal Siakam will also not make his Pacers debut tonight.
