The Tyler Herro return remains uncertain for the Heat

Tyler Herro is an instrumental part of the Heat rotation. Having earned the starting spot this season, he is having a career year averaging 20.8 points per game. More importantly, he is a proven performer in the postseason, a phase where the Heat transforms into different animals altogether.
The franchise was hoping to combine him with star forward Jimmy Butler to be the centerpiece of another improbable run in the playoffs. It’s gutting to think that the 24-year-old could potentially miss the entire season altogether. It all depends on how his foot responds to the medications and how soon can he be inserted back into action.
As of now, the chances of him returning within the 16 games of the regular season are bleak. Fans can be hopeful that the offensively gifted guard returns early in the Heat’s playoff run to exasperate their chances of competing. In the 30 games Herro has been forced to sit, the Heat have won 17. Given their median success, the franchise will hope to persevere in the spell without their crafty scorer.
