Isaiah Thomas is no stranger to heartbreak. The veteran guard’s life has been shaped by unimaginable loss, and he has shared that journey with the world through both his words and actions. Recently, however, Thomas found himself mourning yet another significant loss.

Taking to Instagram, the 35-year-old posted a photo of his elder sister and an emotional tribute.“Ima miss you big sis!!!!! Damn how you leave me too? 2 sisters gone!!! This can’t be real. I love and miss you queen,” he wrote, followed by a blue heart, folded hands, and a heart-broken emoji.

These words, simple yet full of heart, highlight not just his sorrow, but also the weight of losing loved ones. While we are aware of his bond with Chyna Thomas, this latest raw and emotional tribute brought our attention to the passing away of his elder sister, LaQuisha Baldtrip.

Quisha’s Instagram profile is mzqueenboo, but it’s a private account. It explains why many who posted endearing messages called her ‘Queen’. It’s clear from Thomas’ words that he shared a close bond with his sister. As he did with the one who passed away in 2017.

And while the details surrounding this fresh loss remain private, it’s impossible to separate Isaiah’s sorrow from the pain he endured seven years back.

Remembering the tragic loss of Isaiah Thomas’ sister, Chyna Thomas

In 2017, Chyna Thomas’ life was tragically cut short in a Federal Way accident on I-5. She was just 22. The loss profoundly impacted the 2x All-Star. Part of the Celtics squad back then, Isaiah Thomas, was a key part of the 2017 NBA Playoffs. And that’s when he heard the news.

“My teammates didn’t know how to interact or act around me. The energy of what we built the last two years kind of got thrown out the window just because I was going through a real-life situation. Physically, I was there. Mentally, I was back at home,” he had revealed in a late January appearance on the View From The Rafters podcast this year.
