Jrue Holiday is one of the most versatile players in the NBA. His incredible on-ball defense is one of his biggest strengths. At the same time, the two-time All Star can easily lead from the offense end, by getting everyone in the right spots while also creating shots for himself and the team. He has honed these skills over the course of the fifteen years that he has been in the league. During this time, Holiday has played for four team and 916 matches.
All this time in NBA means that the 33-year-old has raked in some serious numbers. Most recently, Jrue crossed an important career milestone. But when asked about, he shared that he did not even know he’d done it!

On Monday, the Boston Celtics tipped off against the New York Knicks and won the match 114-98. Holiday put up 14 points with seven rebounds. With this he has now accumulated 15005 points. He was asked about this achievement in the post game conference all he had to say was, “It’s cool, you know. It means that I played long enough. I played for a long time but uh it’s cool”. Holiday also added that he had no idea that he had done it, adding, “I’m not really on Instagram or anything like that. And then it’s not like anybody here tell me, so I’m really just going out there and playing.”
If you are wondering how he found out, the point guard’s answer is, “When they [fans] started cheering. Yeah… when they started cheering [I] heard my name a little bit so figured I did something wrong”. Only later did he come to know of the reason.
When asked what his ultimate goal was, Jrue replied, “Win the ring. That’s the biggest that’s the only one to be completely honest. It’s cool to get the other accolades, I won’t lie. But I think the biggest one is winning”. A NBA championship will not be his first as the All-Star has one with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021. But adding another one is always nice.
