Personal fouls and NBA injuries go hand in hand. With tonight’s matchup of the Golden State Warriors against the New Orleans Pelicans, there were a lot of headlines. And the Golden State Warriors have had their fair share of the spotlight in the preseason, with news of CP3 and Draymond Green.
While the Stephen Curry and Derek Carr friendship was well documented in tonight’s play, there’s another thing that caught the eye of the tabloids. After making a spectacular return against the Houston Rockets, the 4X NBA Champion is yet vulnerable.

Zion Williamson vs Draymond Green and Co
Draymond Green just recovered from a left ankle sprain during an offseason workout session. The results were disastrous for the franchise as the power forward succumbed to major injuries. With Green missing out on the entire preseason, he’s finally back on the hardwood.

This was his second game this regular season, and yet another blow to the ankle. With Zion Williamson on the defense, it was common. However, it’s a definite “no-no” for the Warriors’ star player since the team just got back on its feet.

Draymond Green & Co vs Pelicans
The game was indeed a highlight, with Stephen Curry dropping a 42-point score. Not only that, but a double-digit win against the Pelicans also showcased the ability of the team to sustain its status. With Moses Moody securing 13 points and K. Looney at 8, the team dominated the Pelicans in all four quarters.
With that in mind, it is yet another game for CP3 when he is coming off the bench. Shifting to Draymond’s skillset, there’s no doubt that the team needs his defensive skills. They need Green for the next scheduled games against the Sacramento Kings, Oklahoma City, and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The team definitely needs their anchor back to tackle the defense and offense against these teams.
