The game was a pivotal moment for the Mystics, who not only ended a two-game home losing trend but also earned what might be regarded as their biggest victory of the season thus far.

The 2022 WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces were welcomed to the White House on Friday by Vice President Kamala Harris, who praised the team’s outstanding play. The Aces defeated the Connecticut Sun 78-71 to secure their championship in Game 4 of the WNBA Finals last year. Kamala Harris said, “It was only five years ago that this franchise moved to Las Vegas and now they are the first major professional sports team in Nevada history … to win a championship, and that’s because this team defines grit and determination.”
Chelsea Gray and A’ja Wilson, two of the Aces’ key players, gifted Vice President Harris a No. 49 jersey.
