It?s not surprising anymore to read about the NBA superstar Stephen Curry?s golfing prowess. The Golden State Warriors guard not only swung his golf clubs for leisure, but he has also impressed several golf legends with his abilities. In pursuit of his passion, he recently visited one of the iconic venues of the medal play, 23 years after Tiger Woods swung his club in the dark to win the 2000 World Golf Championship.

The PGA tour announced Steph as the brand ambassador of golf, following his continued efforts in the golfing world. Apart from his philanthropic works, the Baby-faced assassin annually organizes safe space for junior golfers to expand their win through his Underrated Golf Tour. Additionally, he recently took part in a celebrity golfing contest for the second time, generating charity out of it.?

Stephen Curry is currently embarking on his Underrated Golf Tour alongside junior golfers. During the second schedule of the tour, Steph reached the iconic Firestone CC, Akron, Ohio. The iconic golf course witnessed Tiger Woods? unbelievable swing into the darkness 23 years ago.?

During the 2000 World Golf Championship, Woods swung his club in a storm delayed final round during an almost-dark day at 8:35 PM at Firestone. The ball directly landed ahead of the flagstick and rolled back two inches. The crowd burst into loud cheer and, thus, Woods created the iconic ?Shot in the Dark? moment of the golfing world.?

More than two decades later, Steph took to his Instagram stories and shared the picture of the exact spot where Woods created the iconic moment.

The picture featured a memorial stone highlighting the specification of the shot. The specifications read, ?Tiger Woods “Shot in the dark” 167 Yards 8 Iron August 27, 2000 8:25 PM.?

The Dubs Superstar and Woods have had a special bond over the years. The golf legend once lit up a fire in the NBA superstar.

Woods motivated Steph with a phone call

During the Warriors 2015 playoff run, the Dubs took on the Memphis Grizzlies in the second round. That?s when Curry received a phone call from Tiger Woods, reported Golfdigest.com.

Curry described the conversation: ?It was the biggest pep talk of all time.?

Moreover, it helped Curry to bring out his A-game to comeback from 2-1 deficit and eventually win the championship.
