Despite this development, Silver made it clear, during his media address shortly after the Wizards’ announcement, that sovereign wealth funds won’t be allowed as controlling owners of NBA franchises anytime soon. Moreover, his firm stance against any possible collaboration with the Big3 League is a decision that the iconic rapper criticized, and Beasley joined him three weeks later.
