The Milwaukee Bucks battled it out with the Charlotte Hornets tonight and came out on top. The Bucks were, of late, struggling with being consistent and were on a three-game skid before this match. But they overcame the challenge tonight and turned their fortunes around. Malik Beasley had a good night too.
The 27-year-old forward guard managed to clinch an honor he’s been chasing for quite some time now. Beasley passed the franchise legends Ray Allen and Brook Lopez for the most three-point games in a season for the Bucks.

It seems like Beasley’s lackadaisical performance on Thursday night against an ugly loss against the Timberwolves prompted him to go all out in tonight’s win. The veteran guard missed all nine of his three-point attempts yesterday. And just like that, the Atlanta native made history.
Beasley has 13 games of five or more made threes in the 2023-24 season. Allen, for his part, had 12 games of three-pointers in the 2001-02 season. But that’s not all. The 2x champion had also set the single-game franchise record on April 14, 2002, against none other than the Hornets.
The Bucks finished the night with 120-84 against Charlotte, successfully breaking the slump. Giannis Antetokounmpo had a quiet night, as he sat out after his fifth foul in the third quarter. Seeing as how his Bucks could easily seal the deal, the “Greek Freak” decided to sit back, but not before a double-double (15-15).
Damian Lillard led the scorers tonight with 26 points, while Beasley came second with 21 of his own. Yet, that wasn’t the only attraction tonight. His former Timberwolves teammate and Milwaukee’s latest acquisition took the floor tonight.
Patrick Beverley made his Bucks debut
Doc Rivers’ excitement was out-of-this-world in getting Pat Bev. The two have a history from the Los Angeles Clippers days. Doc brought the defensive star with just two minutes left in the first quarter. Although he got his first three-pointer, Beverley missed his next three hits.

The Hornets were quick to capitalize on the slight mishap. But it didn’t last long, as the “Cream City” finished 66-38 at halftime. Beverley finished with six points, four assists, and one rebound in 12 minutes of game time. Rivers was enthusiastic in his praise of Pat.
Talking to the media ahead of tonight’s matchup, the Bucks coach seemed to keep a straight head regarding Beverley. He said that while he has high IQ and is a gifted defensive player, there are days that he “overdoes it”. And those are the days that the two of them need to sit down for a chat.

Chat or no chat, Doc Rivers has certainly run out of excuses now. All the Bucks fans need to see now are results.
