With an outstanding victory over the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday night, the Las Vegas Aces have formally secured their place in the WNBA playoffs. The Aces have already cemented their spot among the league’s top six weeks before the postseason begins, laying the groundwork for what may turn out to be a historic journey.

Meanwhile, a 25 YO WNBA champion suffered an injury on the court during their latest game. However, merely moments later, her teammates A’ja Wilson and Chelsea Gray mocked her for it.

The Las Vegas Aces defeated the Atlanta Dream with a resounding score of 93-72 on Tuesday night to secure a spot in the WNBA playoffs. With this victory, the Aces reached a notable milestone by extending their winning run to eight games and finishing the season with a fantastic 24-2 record. Only the 1998 Houston Comets have started a season with a 24-2 record. And the Las Vegas Aces’ exceptional play puts them in an elite spot.

Jackie Young was the Aces’ offensive catalyst, scoring an incredible 24 points to help the team triumph. However, during the fourth quarter with barely 5 minutes remaining on the clock, she fell down to the ground.

During one of her heroic attempts to get a basket, Jackie Young powered through with her defense and made it close to the basket. She nearly made the shot, missing the basket only by a few inches. However, she lost her balance mid-air, slipped, and fell down on her back, catching her right foot underneath herself.

Young looked visibly in pain on the floor, covering her face with her hands. She got up only after a few minutes, with the assistance of the team’s athletic trainer along with A’ja Wilson, and Chelsea Gray. However, shortly after helping her up, Gray and Wilson mocked the 25-year-old’s fall.

After the 25-year-old injured player got up from the floor, she was escorted to the bleachers to sit down. Chelsea Gray was by her side and she was seen messing around with Young, lightening the mood. Young, Gray, and Wilson then watched the replay of the game. However, Gray and Wilson stood side by side, reenacting how Young fell to the floor. Young seemed to be in a better mood, with her teammates’ efforts to make her feel better.

The Aces controlled the first half of the game and led comfortably 54-43 at the break. The team had double-digit scores earned by Young (18), Wilson (13), and Plum (10). The Aces made 63% of their field goals, including an astonishing 7 of 11 from beyond the 3-point arc.
