Wolves star Naz Reid indirectly helped a tattoo artist cash in on his playoff flurry. While the NBA world went haywire about Anthony Edwards‘ dominance, the 24-year-old silently built his fan base. Usually, fans express their love for their favorite player by buying their jerseys and wearing them to the games.

However, Reid fans have found an unusual way to show their love. And, a local tattoo artist JC Strobel hits the lottery in return. Overtime Maddy, the social media manager of Overtime, shared an uncanny fan love through her latest Instagram post.

She revealed that more than 200 fans responded to Strobel’s special Naz Reid offer. The tattoo artist promised to deliver a $20 ‘Naz Reid’ tattoo to whoever sends a mail to ‘nazreidtattoos@gmail.com’. This offer immediately turned into a massive success as plenty of fans walked in to get the rising star’s name tattooed on their body.

Maddy further shared one of the fans’ tattoo stories. A fan named Jackson Hurst got his ‘Reid’ tattoo and revealed that the Minnesota Timberwolves star was one of the most important people in his life. Apparently, Hurst got tattoos of the names of three important people in his life on his body which are his mom, dad, and Naz Reid.

As uncanny as it sounded, Reid definitely has won the hearts of his fans with his performances this season. It’s actually strange for a player who comes off the bench for his team to have a fan following of this magnitude. Notably, he won the 6th Man of the Year Award this season, averaging 13.5 points in his 24-minute stay on the court.

Importantly, this pouring love reached the star exactly at the historic point in time. A season where the Wolves managed to end their 20-year-old jinx of winning a playoff series.

Will Naz Reid move to the starting lineup replacing KAT?

Throughout this season, the conversation about Karl-Anthony Towns‘ exit from the Wolves fold has picked up the pace. Especially after the failure of Rudy Gobert and Towns association in the last season. Moreover, the team’s offensive leadership shifted from the 7-foot star to the rising superstar Anthony Edwards.

Moreover, the introduction of Gobert into the side has limited Towns’ role in the roster, as per ESPN’s Zach Lowe. He further stated that the Wolves might have a major financial struggle, stepping into the 2024-25 season. Town would enter the max contract which might stretch his contract over $220 million.

Instead, the team could look for a cheaper replacement with similar capabilities, which Naz Reid already offers off the bench. Apart from that, the team also has another important conflict. With Gobert passing his prime at the age of 33 when his contract matures, by then Reid could become Scottie Pippen for the MJ-lookalike Ant-Man.

Reid could further impress the fans in the remainder of the season. He already impressed the lot with his Game 1 flurry against the Denver Nuggets, scoring 16 points and a third-quarter domination. Will he repeat his domination in Game 3? Let us know in the comments.
