Ahead of the Mavs’ road trip to Real Madrid, Kyrie Irving addressed the press and took up a lot of questions. One of the reporters asked the star about the clause in his contract that could fetch him up to $6 million by the end of the third year. According to ABC Sports, the final year of the contract has a player option along with a few options for incentives.
Namely, $1 million dollar for playing at least 65 games and another million dollar, if the team gets 50 wins and if he had played minimum of 58 games. If Irving ticks all the boxes, the star would end up bagging $6 million. Uncle Drew went on reason the idea behind this clause to the media. He said, “I wanted everything that was structured in my contract incentive-wise to be based on production and that was wins and how many games I’m playing.”
He further stressed on how he made his clause in most friendly and realistic manner while answering the press.

While he aims to get $6 million, he lost $100 million 12 months back.
