It looks like the basketball gods have blessed us immensely this season as the games are full of twists and turns along with some unexpected performances. To say the least, it has got everyone at the edge of their seats. The Lakers, for one, stand at a 3-3 win-loss rate so far in the season and are looking to change that tonight in the game against the Heat. In fact, they have just taken a very bad 120-101 defeat against the Orlando Magic.

While talking about Lakers, we can’t leave out LeBron James. Bron, one of the greatest that the world of basketball has seen, has been around in the league for as long as one can remember. He might have mellowed out over the recent years, but there is no denying that during his prime, no one could get close to him. Soon to be 39, the King is still showing relentlessness, excellence, and above all, athleticism. Now that he has stepped into the 21st year in the league, he is still giving it his all.

It is a wonder how even at this age, Bron is still giving a tough time to opponents. His high game IQ and court vision are the factors that make him stand out from the rest. After the sore loss to the Magic on Saturday, James asserted that when he is on the floor, he gives his everything and contributes in every way possible; “I’m really not one to conserve energy when I’m on the floor, to be honest. I mean, if I’m on the floor I’m just trying to, I’m just trying to make plays happen,” the King said during the post-game interview.
LeBron James also mentioned his court vision, his “very unique ability to see the floor“, which gives him the ability to constantly read the game and make moves on the court, not only for himself but also creating openings and opportunities for his teammates. However, he stressed the fact that the team needs to vamp up on their defense going further so that they can put up a stronger front.

The challenge that the Lakers are facing as a veteran club

Bron points out that the team lacked offensive rebounds and they have to challenge themselves to do better in that regard. He said, “We do a good job of getting a stop in the first possession but we allow offensive rebounds and then we allow them to score off offensive rebounds. So we got to do a better job of that.”
Bron admits that they are a “veteran ball club“, with most of the players being old-timers, apart from Austin Reaves. So as a unit, they need to work on those offensive rebounds.
Well, we learn as we go, and there are still a lot of exciting plays to unfold as the season progresses, so all we can do is wait and see what this exciting season has to offer.
