Despite a clutch win at Indianapolis, Jaylen Brown gave some credit to the Pacers players. Importantly, he didn’t just simply praise them but compared them to the NBA legend, Michael Jordan. After going 0-2 down in the series, the Indiana Pacers entered the Gainbridge Fieldhouse with a force to turn the tables around. In fact, they almost pulled off a victory and that is why Boston Celtics star JB lauded them after the game.

Speaking to the reporters after the game, Brown said, “You had to be out there to kinda feel it… They were just flying around. They were shooting the ball well… Some of those guys turned into f****** Michael Jordan or whatever… We was like what is going on, we couldn’t figure it out.”

Stepping into the Game with 0-2 down in the series, the Pacers had a huge setback. Tyrese Haliburton, who suffered a hamstring soreness in Game 2, didn’t suit up for the night. But, the remaining players played to win the game in blowout style. The Celtics started the game with a steady lead, but the short-handed Pacers caught up with them immediately and got their first lead in the first minute of the second quarter.

TJ McConnell, Andrew Nembhard, and Pascal Siakam led the offensive attack, scoring 20+ points each. Notably, it was McConnell, who came off the bench, dropping 23 points with a 10-17 FG, supporting Andrew Nembhard’s 32-point flurry.

Nevertheless, the Celtics, who claimed to be clueless for the majority of the game, pulled up their socks in the last quarter. Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday came alive in the clutch. Speaking of Tatum, Jaylen Brown said, “Jayson Tatum made some big-time plays… He was crazy.” On the other hand, Jrue Holiday took the much-needed lead around the 30-second mark and generated a clutch steal to seal the game for the Celts.

Can Jaylen Brown & Co. clean sweep the Pacers?

The Celtics are just a win away from entering the NBA Finals once again after their 2022 heartbreak. Ahead of the Conference Finals series, the media wrote off the Pacers side, claiming that the Celts had an easy route to the Finals. And, the current series record of 3-0 would also vouch for the same. However, the Celtics had it tough in this series after almost losing two of their games.

In Game 1, it was Jaylen Brown’s clutch 3-pointer that saved the night at the TD Garden and tonight; it was Jrue Holiday. Moreover, the Pacers HC Rick Carlisle, speaking after the loss, made a strong statement. He added, “Believe me when I tell you, we’re going after them.”

While Carlisle made a statement with brute confidence, Brown spoke with much poise after the dramatic clutch win. The Celts forward said, “We have been in this position before… We just value every win… No matter whom you’re playing. One game at a time, play like a team, win like a team, lose like a team… One we’re just one win away from getting back to the Finals.”

The Celts now seem to have a composed mindset before they take on the Pacers in the series decider. Will the Pacers force Game 5? Let us know in the comments below.
