From James’ pre-game playlist choices to his appearances in music videos and collaborations with prominent rap artists, he has consistently integrated himself into the rap world. Just a day before his tenth wedding anniversary, King James paid tribute to the legendary hip-hop artist. The artist, through his music, advocated for social justice. There was no question of how Tupac’s hard-hitting lyrics impacted people. When the former DPOY was asked which artist best described his playing style, Green promptly replied, “Tupac. You know why it’s Pac for me? I’m very thoughtful on the basketball court. But I’m with that s**t! Like, Pac’s very thoughtful. But all it takes is this *snaps* to like- and we can go there. And I feel like, what Pac pictured, I try to embody. I feel like it’s me to the T. I just feel like that’s my whole character”.

Green is a versatile player who is a force to be reckoned with on both ends of the court. He can defend multiple positions and contribute to various aspects of the game. Additionally, his basketball IQ and passing ability make him one of the best playmaking forwards in the league. However, his contributions are not just restricted to his skills. He is an effective communicator and assumes leadership positions when necessary. Therefore, the comparison is appropriate, since both Tupac and Green had thoughtful attitudes and a propensity to react quickly.
