During the podcast episode featuring Trae Young as a guest, Green took a moment to reflect on his own career and acknowledge the impact two particular coaches had on him. He spoke highly of Mark Jackson’s contributions during their time together, before turning his attention to Steve Kerr.

Green’s admiration for Kerr is evident as he stumbled over words in an attempt to emphasize just how successful and accomplished he believes his coach is. It was clear that Green wanted to convey that Kerr is not only one of the “winningest” people currently involved in basketball, but also possesses an impressive historical standing within the NBA.

In his own words, he says, “I have had two coaches in my career, Mark Jackson who was incredible for us, and I have had Steve Kerr who is one of the most winningest (stutters and laughs).”
