LeBron James is a man of many talents. While everyone knows him as the king of the NBA, he also has played high school football. And seeing his insane athleticism and elite playmaking skills on the court, many believe that LBJ could’ve chosen a career in the NFL if he wanted to. However, viral comedian and actor Kevin Hart believes that the ship might have sailed for the legendary Laker. At least that’s what he told Bron in their latest ad collaboration, as the comic hilariously destroyed the King’s NFL dream.

With both superstars now a part of the DraftKings family, the sports betting company released a hilarious new commercial that started with LeBron James telling Kevin Hart that he had just received an NFL offer and was thinking of accepting it! However, the 5’5 comedian quickly ended the hooper’s excitement as he questioned, “Aren’t you like too old to be playing football?” Then, in classic Hart style, the performer began his flurry of lighthearted insults, “They want somebody that can run a 40, not somebody who is 40.”

Doubling down on it, the comedian continued his verbal assault on the 4x Champion, “How are you gonna celebrate a win? You’re gonna give everybody butterscotch candy?” Sure enough, Kevin Hart’s hilarious roast was enough for King James to break character as he genuinely burst out laughing toward the end of the ad.

As great as LeBron is at basketball, his playing in the NFL at this age seems like an unrealistic idea.

Sure, Tom Brady did it till the age of 45, but he spent his whole life mastering the art and playing with the best. However, transitioning from one sport to another is a whole different animal. So, Kevin might be right in stopping LeBron from making that move.

Being close-knit with the NBA community, Kevin Hart has been good friends with LeBron James for a very long time. But their latest collaboration was only possible because of the Lakers superstar’s new ties with DraftKings. Earlier this year, James announced his partnership with the $18.57 billion company as they are also the official sports betting partners of the NBA and NFL. Meanwhile, the comic has been the face of the brand for five years now and has starred in several hilarious advertisements over the years.

Sure enough, when LeBron James joined the family, Hart welcomed him with open arms, as he wrote a heartfelt message on social media, quoting, “Hey @kingjames welcome to team.” To which the Laker responded, “Yessir!! Ha Ha Ha!” Obviously, everyone had been waiting for the duo to finally share the screen ever since. And the two superstars did not disappoint as the new DraftKings ad is both creative and extremely hilarious. Moreover, it has left the fans craving for more.

This isn’t the first time Hart and James have been mentioned in the same sentence. While the NBA legend’s son was continuously being criticized and accused of having an easy route to the league, the viral comedian put his foot down and supported the father-son duo with his own analogy. “My daughter is in love with the idea of creativity of producing and developing. It’s my job as a father to not only give her the right information but put her in the best position to succeed.”
