The journey of young 22-year-old G/F Brandon Boston Jr. will not be moving forward with the Los Angeles Clippers. As per ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Clippers have ignored the prospect’s qualifying offer. Steve Ballmer’s front office has cleared the way for BBJ to join the unrestricted free agency for the upcoming season. Notably, Boston was picked as the No. 51 pick by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2021 NBA Draft’s second round. The former Clippers guard could not even get enough time to showcase his prowess on the court.

In whatever time BBJ played on the court, he averaged 4.9 points and 1.6 rebounds this year. It seems that Steve Ballmer has become quite cautious about financial matters this year. He is in search of someone not still in his blooming stage but the one who can explode on the court with his performance. Looking at Boston’s whole career with the Clippers over three years, he averaged 6.2 points in 12.9 minutes across 105 appearances. Yet the guard was unable to get to the main rotation of the Clippers. Therefore, the No. 4 ranked prospect in the 2020 recruiting class cannot be a part of the Clippers anymore.
