Jimmy Butler wasn’t the only one to have some travel troubles this week. Winter weather in New Orleans has thrown off the Milwaukee Bucks’ schedule, causing their Wednesday game against the Pelicans to be postponed. As a result, Thursday’s game against the Miami Heat will now start at 8:30 p.m. ET instead of the originally planned 7:30 p.m. ET. Talk about a weather delay that’s throwing everything off!

The scheduling changes meant the network had to shift its pregame show from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm and extend it by an hour. But hey, no worries! Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson on Inside the NBA had no problem filling the extra time. They kicked things off by revealing the All-Star starters, which gave them plenty to discuss.

The scheduling adjustments led to a bit of a scramble. The Celtics-Lakers game, originally set for a 10:30 pm tip-off, got bumped to truTV as the Heat-Bucks game ran long. Once the Heat-Bucks game wrapped up, the Celtics-Lakers matchup shifted over to TNT.

The Wisconsin franchise wasn’t happy about this change. They were snubbed off for another match. So the Bucks official X account tweeted “TNT wyd.”. A full stop? They sound nettled.

Fans were also raging because of how difficult the NBA has made it difficult to catch games on one subscription.

Bucks’ fans feel betrayed and unseen among other big franchises

One fan wrote, this is so unfair man“. Bucks fans facing a delayed start to their game against the Heat. To top it all off, they pushed back the Celtics-Lakers rivalry, one of the most talked-about games of the season. It’s kind of like being the second choice when you know you’re more than deserving of the spotlight.

What’s your perspective on:

Is the NBA's scheduling chaos ruining the fan experience, or is it just part of the game?

Have an interesting take?

The fans are definitely feeling the frustration here.

THEY PUT US ON TRUTV.” wrote another fan. For those who don’t know, truTV is typically more associated with shows like Impractical Jokers and Comedy Knockout, not exactly the prime spot you’d expect for an intense NBA matchup.

Sure, the NBA has used truTV for games before, but fans still don’t feel great about it when they expect a more seamless viewing experience. It’s like getting upgraded to a less desirable seat on the plane—you’re still flying, but the comfort definitely isn’t there.

Another netizen’s reaction, They hate us reflects the frustration that fans often feel when their team doesn’t get the same attention as others. This sentiment links directly to how the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, and New York Knicks always seem to get prime-time slots and more media attention.

It’s not just bad luck—these teams are marquee franchises in the NBA, and a clear pattern emerges: the league heavily favors market size and revenue generation.

Exactly!?!!? Why switch? Let the Bucks game close out!!” wrote a frustrated Bucks fan. With players like Giannis Antetokounmpo, who’s always capable of putting on a highlight reel performance, and the intensity of a playoff-contending team, the idea of switching networks just as the Bucks were closing out their game feels unfair.

The energy in the final moments of any NBA game is electric, and for fans, it’s about being there through every shot, every play, and every buzzer-beater.

Another fan wrote,They hate it when we win.” It’s not just about a dominant 125-96 win over the Miami Heat—it’s about the narrative surrounding smaller-market teams like Milwaukee. When the Bucks win, especially in commanding fashion, it often feels like their success disrupts the NBA’s preferred storyline. And the Bucks don’t seem to be part of it.
