Well Well Well! Mark Cuban really had something to say to King James’ family. It’s almost time to witness the father-son duo on court, officially. LeBron James and his son did take the hardwood for a brief period in the preseason, but it won’t necessarily count until it makes it to the record books. However, before we could witness the historic moment, the Dallas Mavericks‘ part-owner dropped a “serious” message, urging the 22-season veteran to hang his boots.
A TMZ reporter, in their usual style, caught the Shark in the middle of the street and asked him the burning question. LeBron James’ retirement. The Mavs’ owner, without any hesitation, said, “Yes, LeBron. It’s time for you to quit. I’m tired of you.” Taken aback by Cuban’s spontaneity, the reporter asked if he was serious.
And, guess what, this is what he said, “No, I’m being serious… He’s on the Lakers. Our rivals. It’s time to retire LeBron… Let Bronny step in.” However, a little smile and then a burst of laughter around the corner gave it away. The man was really joking.

The 66-year-old businessman is a basketball fan first and then a team owner. You must have guessed it with his enthusiastic statement to a reporter on the sidewalk. Mark Cuban also keeps tabs on the Lakers. Notably, it’s not just for the rivalry, but also for life lessons…
Recently, in a podcast with Shaquille O’Neal, the Mavs’ part-owner revealed why sold the franchise’s majority ownership. The big fan pointed out the Buss family, who are generationally owning the Lakers. Well, it has worked out well for the LA side, but Mark Cuban doubts the same for his team. He said, “It’s worked out for some families and others. The kids just hate it, leave it, you know, resentful. I don’t want to put my kids in that position.” Speaking of kids, Mark Cuban dropped a comforting word for Bronny James.

Have an interesting take?
Bronny James and pending criticism don’t need any introduction. Ever since the 20-year-old declared for the NBA draft, the spotlight has been on him. Fans, critics, and naysayers watched every single move of the rising star and jumped quickly to criticize him whenever they’ve had the opportunity. The critics pay more attention to the 55th pick than any other draft youngster in his class. And Mark Cuban seemed to have noticed the unfair criticism raised against King James’ son.
So, in his latest byte with TMZ, he said, “I mean Bronny is still a teenager. Teenagers are still teenagers no matter who their dad is. Trust me. I know. It’s great. Just the fact that they get time to spend together, be together, see the ups and downs. LeBron gets to teach Bronny… I’d love to be in that position.”
Above all, Bronny James finally silenced his critics in the last preseason game. After JJ Redick started him as a small forward, the rising star responded to the situation well and dropped his career-high 17 points, which also included 3 blocks.
