Following an explosive start to the game, the Los Angeles Lakers went nonthreatening in the second half against the Brooklyn Nets. With that, the Lakers’ hot and cold run in this season continues. While the experts and pundits put their thinking hats on ahead of the trade deadline, former NBA star Kendrick Perkins dropped the hammer on the 25-year-old Austin Reaves.
The Nets dominated the Lakers in the second half and took home a blowout 130-112 win. While Anthony Davis and LeBron James led the offense with 50 points together, they didn’t receive enough support from their roster. Especially, Reaves had a poor day, shooting at 4-12. Following the game, Kendrick Perkins took to his X handle and called for Reaves’ trade.
He wrote, “Time for Rob Pelinka to start making those calls!!! You see @AustinRivers25 why I told you the other day why this Lakers team ain’t making no damn noise. Just saying tho…”
