Damian Lillard is the talk of the town because of his off-season trade drama. Wanting to part ways with Portland after spending his entire career with the Blazers, Dame is looking for a change in situation to improve his chances of winning a ring. But during his 11 years playing for Portland, he has given many memorable moments to the fans and also made a lot of enemies along the way. Hitting dagger 3s against the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets to eliminate them from the playoffs, fans already speculate a beef between him and superstars like Paul George and James Harden.

But there is another young player who shared the court with Stephen Curry in Golden State who had a heated argument with Dame D.O.L.L.A during a game. Dismissing the false narrative of a budding rivalry, Dame came clean about the incident three years after dropping 61 points on the player?s head.

Amidst his trade drama, Damian Lillard made an appearance on the “It Is What It Is” Podcast to break his silence. He addressed the narrative that the fans and media have created about him not liking the former Golden State Warriors guard Jordan Poole. ?That?s false though.? Dame said immediately after hearing the question. The 7-time All-Star remembered the game where Steph and the entire veteran roster of the Warriors were hurt, and Jordan Poole was running the show. The 24-year-old hit a stepback 3 on Dame and started trash-talking the superstar. Lillard did not think much of the situation, ?I wasn?t tripping coz I could tell he was just amped up.?

Things escalated when Poole started trash-talking the superstar while he was hitting free throws. ?Man, Shut Up.? Dame remembers asking the young guard to shut up, even telling Draymond Green to calm him down. Even though the Trail Blazers lost, Lillard finished with 40 points. Lillard even admitted to enjoying Poole?s game after that incident, ?I actually like his game.? That game grabbed Logo Lillard?s attention, and he witnessed the rise of Jordan Poole, watching him become a key player in the Warriors? 2022 Championship team. But his clip of appreciating the young guard was cut short, creating a false narrative of Dame not liking Jordan Poole.
